About the Author

Christopher Kuntz, MD has spent 20 years specializing in cataract surgery in Seattle, Washington. He has performed approximately 10,000 cataract surgical cases, including preoperative care, surgery, and postoperative care.  

Dr. Kuntz received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University in 1985.  He then taught high school Physics and German in the San Francisco Bay area.  After three years devoted to teaching, he entered the University of California San Francisco Medical School.  Upon completion of his medical degree he performed his surgical residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle.  


Dr. Kuntz entered private practice in 1997. He has been recognized on numerous occasions by his peers as one of Seattle's Top Doctors by both Seattle Magazine and Seattle Metropolitan Magazine.  He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

After 20 years performing cataract surgery, Dr. Kuntz is now committing his professional time to teaching patients how they can get the most out of their cataract surgery.
